The Ask a Sadist Manifesto
By a sadist with a heart of rugged gold
I am a sadist.
Not in the way you think. Not the Halloween mask, not the cartoon villain, not the tabloid monster. I am a sadist in the sense that I take joy—holy, transcendent joy—in hurting people in the ways that most help them. I do this with full awareness, with artful cruelty, with a heart of rugged gold.
This is not an apology. This is a declaration. This is the manifesto of the sadist.
I. The Misunderstood Patron of Pain
Did you know sadists face discrimination every day, simply for being who we are? While the world trips over itself to assign victimhood and police intentions, we stand outside the fray, our eyes clear, our hearts fierce. We don’t deny desire. We sharpen it.
In an age where everyone wants to be seen as harmless, I say: be kind to the cruel.
Because when cruelty is conscious, it becomes something else—surgical, exquisite, transformative. It becomes art.
I live in a glass house, sharp-edged and gleaming, and I do not throw stones. I fashion them into instruments of clarity.
II. The Pleasure Principle
Pleasure is the law. Passion is the rocket.
You may think you're seeking comfort, security, validation. You’re not. You're seeking the high, the rush, the transgression—the kind that sears your nervous system and rewires your soul.
Sex is the rehearsal for death and the celebration of life. It’s everything. It’s power. And power is sex, even when it masquerades as something else.
Our culture, if you hadn’t noticed, is saturated with sublimated sadism. War, litigation, bureaucracy—these are the boring man's dungeon. It's all cruelty in drag.
I propose something else: we bring our sadism out of hiding. We stop lying to ourselves. We stop outsourcing our ecstasy to lies, to virtue theater, to jobs we hate and partners we don't touch anymore.
Let’s get out of the tanks, out of the boardrooms, and into the dungeons.
Rough sex can save the world.
III. On Consent, Ethics, and Sublime Corruption
I believe in the subjugation of women—optional, consensual, safe, legal, abundant. I believe in the subjugation of men. Of bosses. Of preachers. Of the self-righteous. Of the self. I believe in freedom through ecstatic surrender.
I do not dominate. I do not want to run your life. I don’t want a leash on you—I want you to crawl to me, on your own, because you finally understand what you’re hungry for. I want you to want it, to beg for it. And I want to surprise you.
It's not enough that you take it and like it.
You have to beg for it.
Because only with the most exquisitely enthusiastic consent can real cruelty become real connection.
And don’t confuse this with "being nice." I’m not here to be nice. I’m here to be honest. I’m not fair. I’m kind. And that kindness may look like hellfire. But it’s custom-designed for your liberation.
IV. The Alchemy of Transgression
To truly reignite your intimacy? You must be willing to sin. To transgress. To join your partner in crime—not for a ride to the airport, but for a ride to the inferno of your deepest desires.
Most people will never be free, because they are afraid of their own pleasure. They believe good sex is a treat you earn after doing your chores. They believe freedom must be sanctioned.
I am here to tell you: they are wrong.
You must lose your mind to free your mind. You must throw your body into decadent, Dionysian depravity—not to escape yourself, but to meet yourself for the first time.
Long-distance lovers? You're already torturing yourselves. Own it. Make your celibacy a kink. Send him an orifice-stuffing toy and control it from afar. Make her suffer with longing. Put on the mask, play the part, create your own rules—rules so gloriously disgusting that they sanctify the absurdity of love at a distance.
Nothing reveals the truth like pain. Especially the kind that’s wanted.
V. The Work of the Sadist
I am LA’s most feared agony columnist. I answer your questions not to soothe, but to sharpen. I listen, then I lacerate.
Your husband stops breathing during sex? Don't beg him to inhale. Teach him the consequences of breath. Punish him for trying to escape his pleasure. Only when breath becomes precious will he value it. That’s your leverage.
Your boss calls you "sex on a stick"? Good. Let her feel powerful. Let her think she’s breaking you. Then become unfireable. Become ungovernable. Her hypocrisy is your training ground. She’s the worst kind of sadist—one who doesn’t know she is one.
You turned 40 and feel lost? Sit with the stuckness. Taste its contours. There’s pleasure in your paralysis. There’s desire hidden in the dread. Learn to suffer better. Let it seduce you into motion.
You want to beat your boyfriend because he asked you to? Learn to do it well. Go to a dungeon. Train. You wouldn’t play piano without lessons. Don’t play with pain without mastery.
Success is not a state. It’s a process. A series of decisions, each one designed to defile your old self, to sacrifice comfort for the altar of power and pleasure.
VI. The Real Enemy
You want to know what I refuse?
I refuse insipid moralism. I refuse pastel moderation. I refuse the tyranny of “normal.”
I refuse the death-by-a-thousand-expectations that so many of you mistake for life.
I do not have partners. I do not have owners. I have playthings. I have collaborators. I have adversaries and pupils and worshippers.
Because I reflect what most people cannot bear to look at in themselves—the shadow, the hunger, the violence that wraps itself in velvet and waits.
What kink would I never try? I don’t make vows like that. Forever is a mighty long time.
But I’ll say this: if you’re going to destroy yourself, don’t keep the cruelty to yourself. Share it. Turn it into performance. Turn it into prophecy. Turn it into sex.
Because sex is power. Power is violence. And violence, when wielded with precision and consent, is love’s darker brother.
VII. In Closing
I am a sadist with a heart of rugged gold. I hurt people in the ways that most help them. It means the world to me when you let me be mean to you.
If you don’t know where you belong, I will find your place.
And I will put you there.
Suffer like you mean it.
Or beg me to make it mean something for you.
That’s what I’m here for.
That’s what I do.
Ask a Sadist.
Pleasure is the law. Pain is the teacher. Cruelty is the cure.
